Dear DPAS Clients,

As you know, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH)* Act of 2009 significantly impacts HIPAA requirements for both covered entities and their business associates and becomes effective on Monday, February 1, 2010.

To meet HITECH requirements, we have prepared a revised Business Associates agreement for you to review, execute and return to DPAS. You will be receiving your personalized Agreement via email later today.

Upon receipt, please sign, date the document for February 1, 2010, and return the document via email to our implementation coordinator, Teresa Davis, at tdavis@idpas.com.  You can also fax it to 501-687-3282.
