Dear Clients, As you may know, the Senate Finance Committee released a list of possible health reform options on May 19th, 2009. One proposal suggests reducing contribution limits to FSAs or eliminating them entirely. Another proposal suggests returning the contribution limits of HSAs to the previous "deductible" limits, making substantiation of HSA expenses mandatory, and increasing penalties for early withdrawal 10% to 20%. It is imperative that those in favor of FSAs, HRAs and HSAs make their opinions known before the debate reaches the floors of the House of Representatives and the Senate. For this reason we are encouraging our clients to contact not only the members of the Senate Finance Committee, but also their Senators and Representatives in Congress to express their support for these accounts, by phone, email and physical mail if possible. For a sample letter to use when contacting legislators, click here. Links to the email and physical addresses of legislators are listed below. For Contact information for your members of the House of Representatives, click here. DataPath is also developing a website, capitolhill.dpath.com, where they will post alerts, informative links, and form letters as the situation unfolds. Please check back later for more information. Thank you,
